Sonali Solar is excited to be participating in InterSolar North America again next week at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, CA. Sonali has recently received new certifications to add to its repertoire, increasing the diversity and applications in which their modules can be applied. Their 300 watt poly module has been added to their list of UL 1703 certified products.
By running all of the solar cells that make their modules through an electroluminescence tester before and after the modules are laminated, it allows Sonali to ensure that there are no micro-cracks getting in the way of the photo-electric effect, leading to improved quality and reliability. After testing all of the solar cells in their production line, Sonali saves the most efficient cells to produce their new 300 watt, 72 cell modules. By getting more power out of each module installed, large commercial projects can save a lot of money on the cost of labor to have the system installed. Sonali Solar President and CEO, Pankaj Desai, says that they "are happy to add more modules to their production line. To increase the different size modules we offer, gives our customers more options for finding the right equipment for each individual project."
In addition, all of the modules in Sonali Solar's production line have passed the TUV Salt Mist Corrosion Test to receive IEC 61701 certification. Solar modules with this certification are more suitable for use near coastal areas, maritime applications, and highway installations, where salt concerns are very high.
