Global Water Technologies to Participate at International Water Week

Global Water Technologies will present at International Water Week in Amsterdam on November 4-6 where 'Integrated water solutions for a green economy' will be the topic for an expected 25,000 water industry professionals.

A presentation on the company's “People + Pipes + Policy” approach will highlight regulatory and legislative impacts on innovation, including the challenges of improving services and infrastructure in an era of budget constraints and development of new water technology clusters in the United States. Such policy issues will be explored at the local, state and federal levels to identify factors that drive innovation and entrepreneurship in the water sector.

“We appreciate the opportunity to participate in this leading industry event hosted by one of the world's great cities,” said Erik Hromadka, CEO of Global Water Technologies, noting the wide participation by delegations from 40 countries and thanking the Dutch government for facilitating the speaking engagement.

In addition to Hromadka's presentation on policy and innovation, he will also chair a session on information and communication technology for optimizing urban water management.

Global Water Technologies is working on smart water solutions to reduce loss in drinking water distribution systems with better measurement and monitoring tools that combine sensors and software. The company is using a “living laboratory” concept to show how such solutions can be deployed effectively in a real-world setting that includes community, academic, government and utility participation.

Based in Indiana, the company is also participating in two of the leading U.S. water clusters that are being developed in the Great Lakes region and include national water research facilities in Cincinnati, Ohio and a new global water center that opened this summer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
