Entropex Receives Gold Award at Recycling Council of Ontario Gala Awards Night

At the annual Recycling Council of Ontario Gala Awards Thursday night, Entropex, a leading plastics recycler, received this year's Gold award for excellence in waste reduction.

The RCO awards has been the premier recognition event that celebrates exceptional results in waste reduction and recycling.

Entropex is a clean technology company and market leader in plastics recycling. It has successfully developed and commercialized the RigidReclaim™ process integrating plastics sorting, cleaning, processing and upgrading for mixed-rigid post-consumer plastics. This innovation expands the industry, creates green jobs and addresses the public interest in recovery mixed-rigid plastics.

"We are proud to be recognized by RCO and congratulate all of the nominees and honorees for their achievements," said Keith Bechard, CEO of Entropex, "Our RigidReclaim™ technology is the proven solution with capacity to recover 50,000 tonnes per year of plastic that would otherwise end up in landfill."

In Ontario alone, the data shows a 30 percent increase in the recovery of all rigid plastic between 2008 and 2011 mainly as a result of Entropex RigidRecovery™ project.

Entropex's commercialization of its RigidReclaim™ technology is a bold entrepreneurial move and innovative achievement in post-consumer plastics recycling. It addresses the public need to recover non-bottle rigid plastics, creates jobs and provides a new stream of recycle resin for the Canadian industry.
