Eltek today announced it has received the City of Plano’s Green Business Certification (GBC) for its efforts in reducing energy consumption, reducing waste, pollution prevention, water efficiency, sustainable purchasing and general education.

About the Green Business Certification Program (GBC)
The City of Plano’s Green Business Certification Program (GBC) was developed by its Public Works – Commercial Recycling Department to recognize businesses that take steps to reduce their ecological footprint. The GBC program focuses on a checklist of green practices and seeks candidates that uphold a commitment to daily sustainable operations. To become certified, evidence of completion is required for mandatory and selected green initiatives in the following areas: general education; waste reduction; energy efficiency; water efficiency; pollution prevention; and sustainable purchases.
