Atlantic Wind & Solar Adds Another Utility Scale Solar Plant in Ontario

Atlantic Wind & Solar, Inc. is pleased to announce the addition of another utility scale solar plant in Ontario, Canada now powering the grid.

With the formal receipt of a notice of Commercial Operation (COD) from the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) this marks the final step in the construction and connection of this solar plant.

The solar power plant was developed by its Canadian subsidiary Atlantic Solar Inc.

The photovoltaic plant consists of a 220 KW AC / 260.865 KW DC fixed array of 1,023 multi-crystalline modules at 255W each. The power will be sold to IESO at a rate of 71.3 cents per Kwh for 20 years.

Atlantic Solar has continued to develop a number of projects in Ontario, Canada connected to the grid and now supplying power to Ontario. As part of a solar development contract this project was purchased and is now owned and operated by an Ontario municipality. Atlantic Solar continues to develop projects to be held within the previously announced Power 1 yieldco and/or sold to other asset funds and managers.
