Hoge Fenton Jones + Appel, a leading Northern California real estate and business law firm, is pleased to announce that Douglas White has earned the U. S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Professional Accreditation. White has the distinction of being the only lawyer in the Silicon Valley and Central Valley to receive the prestigious LEED Accredited Professional (AP) designation.
“Doug will continue to specialize in real estate, land use, and green building & technology law. He will be an invaluable advocate for our firm’s clients on planning, designing and building LEED certified projects and helping them navigate through the myriad new green building legal issues they are encountering,” said Kathryn Meier, managing partner of the firm.
Based in the firm’s San Jose and Modesto offices, White is an active member of the Real Estate and Environmental Sections of the California State Bar. He has testified before the state legislature on California’s building standards and green building legislation. He is a member of the U. S. Green Building Council, Build It Green, the green building task forces for the Home Builders Association of Northern California (HBANC) and the California Building Industry Association (CBIA), and is the Vice Chair of the Green Building Task Force for the Building Industry Association of Central California (BIACC).
