HOBO LEED Monitoring Kits Designed to Help Improve Building Energy Performance

Onset Computer Corporation, the “HOBO” data logger company, today announced three new HOBO LEED Monitoring Kits designed to help improve building energy performance while generating credits as specified in the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Existing Buildings Rating System.

Specifically, the new kits enable facility managers, building owners, contractors and engineers to quickly and easily measure and document the following:

  • Boiler/solar hot water heater performance
  • Rooftop HVAC system efficiency
  • Indoor Environmental Quality

“The ability to accurately measure and document systems performance in existing buildings has become an increasingly important aspect of the LEED-EB accreditation process,” said Frank Deshaies, product marketing manager for Onset. “At the same time, people need continuously-recorded baseline data to understand how, for example, an HVAC unit is performing over time in order to make energy improvements. The new HOBO LEED Monitoring Kits are extremely affordable, easy-to-use solutions that address both of these needs.”

HOBO LEED Monitoring Kits are available in three versions: a Boiler Monitoring Kit; a Rooftop HVAC System Monitoring Kit; and an Indoor Environmental Quality Monitoring Kit. Each kit includes HOBO data logger hardware, HOBOware® Lite graphing and analysis software, and associated sensors.

The HOBO LEED Monitoring Kits are available immediately from Onset, and can be customized and purchased on the company’s website at http://www.onsetcomp.com/LEED.
