The SET100 List 2025: The Most Innovative Start-Ups for the Energy Transition

The global innovation platform Start Up Energy Transition (SET) has published the SET100 list for 2025. The list brings together the 100 most promising energy transition and climate tech start-ups worldwide that are driving innovative business models in the field of energy transition and climate protection. The selected companies have applied for the SET Award, the international award for energy & climate tech innovations. The SET initiative is organized by the German Energy Agency (dena) in cooperation with the World Energy Council.

Corinna Enders, Chairwoman of the dena Management Board, emphasizes the importance of the SET100 list: ‘The SET100 list is the central showcase for the world's most innovative and promising start-ups in the energy transition. The selected start-ups present tried-and-tested, forward-looking solutions that actively contribute to achieving our climate targets. As trailblazers for technological innovations and scalable business models, they are accelerating the transition to sustainable, resilient energy systems - for the benefit of people and the planet. The SET100 list embodies the pioneering spirit we need to master the global challenges of the energy transition.’

SET Award 2025 - 15 Finalists Present their Solutions

15 start-ups from the SET100 list will also have the opportunity to present their innovative solutions at the SET Tech Festival on 18 March 2025 as part of the SET Award ceremony. An international jury of renowned experts has selected the finalists from over 350 applications from 68 countries. The competition takes place in five categories:
