Biogas Industry to get Tailor Made Process Control Systems

From February 3 to 5, 2009, the Industry Automation Division of Siemens will be presenting tailor-made process control systems, sensors and analytical-technology solutions at the annual biogas conference and trade fair in Hannover.

The range of products and systems from Siemens is matched to the needs of the biogas industry and includes the Simatic PCS7 process control system as well as process instruments, analytical technology, power distribution systems and drives. The Siemens control system for the biogas industry is scalable and – starting with a system based on a box PC – is suitable for small, medium-sized and even large industrial facilities.

It is based on the Simatic PCS7, a standardized control system that can be used in many branches of industry. The Siemens portfolio is used not only for process control tasks but also for monitoring the components of equipment with regard to their degree of wear and critical operating states of individual items of equipment. It is also used for power monitoring.
