Michelin Awarded for Best Sustainable Development

Michelin's 2005-2006 Performance and Responsibility report has received the 2007 Best Sustainable Development Report Award!

The Jury of the Eighth Edition of the Conseil Supérieur de l’Ordre des Experts-Comptables Awards (French national Chartered Accountants Board and the French most competent authority on this subject) unanimously designated Michelin, out of 50 candidates, as the 2007 Best Sustainable Development Report Award winner.

Michelin was rewarded for its “wilful, innovative and long-term commitment to sustainable development, an approach which this trophy lauds as exemplary.”

Selection criteria bore on both the report’s content and the qualitative characteristics of the information included and were based on eight fundamental principles: relevance, reliability, clarity, comparison, appropriateness, exhaustiveness, certification and overall impression.

Acknowledgement by a professional and rigorous organization is a strong message of encouragement for the Group to pursue this approach and its communications operations.
