Dixon Power Systems offers the Skystream brand of residential power systems manufactured by Southwest Windpower. The Skystream 3.7 residential power system is available with an inverter and inbuilt controls and has the capability to generate a maximum power of 1.8 kilowatts. This residential power system comprises three blades made of fiberglass reinforced composite and a rotor with an overall diameter of 3.72 meters.
The rotor of the Skystream 3.7 power system is a downwind model that incorporates stall regulation control option. The rotor has a maximum swept area of 10.87 square meters and rotates in clockwise direction.
The Skystream 3.7 residential power system has a rated blade speed ranging from 50 rotations per minute to 325 rotations per minute, with the blade tip speed ranging from 9.7 meters per second to 63 meter per second. The Skystream 3.7 residential power system produces 1.8 kilowatts of power at a rated wind speed of 9 meters per second. The cut-in and survival wind speed of the residential power system are 3.5 meters per second and 63 meters per second, respectively.
The Skystream 3.7 residential power system comes with an inbuilt passive yaw control unit, a permanent magnet brushless generator and an electronic stall regulation braking system with a relay switch control option.
The Skystream 3.7 residential power system is equipped with a universal inverter of 120 volt or 240 volt AC specification. This residential power system also has a wireless two-way interface remote system that serves as a user control feature.
