Heat Controller offers a range of geothermal heating and cooling systems under two brands, namely, Comfort-Aire and Century. The Comfort-Aire HSW series water-to-water heat pump available from the company is designed for ground loop, boiler tower and ground water applications.
Comfort-Aire HSW
The Comfort-Aire HSW series pump is available in 3, 5 and 10 ton models for residential and commercial applications. This water-to-water unit is equipped with compact cabinets having epoxy powder coating. It exceeds the efficiencies outlined under the ASHRAE 90.1. The 208/230V-1-60 heat pump model is also available along with a hot water generator and an internal pump.
The microprocessor controls incorporated in the HSW series water-to-water heat pump have time delay and diagnostic lock-out functions. This geothermal heat pump offered by Heat Controller is equipped with a scroll compressor to provide dependable and efficient operation. The compressor compartment insulation and double compressor mounting system make the HSW series operate smoothly without noise. There are three removable panels for accessing the system easily for servicing.
The HSW series water-to-water heat pump operates efficiently using the R22 refrigerant. The HSW060 water loop heat pump has a heating capacity of 63,000 BTUH with 4.2 COP and a cooling capacity of 44,400 BTUH with 12.0 EER. As a ground water heat pump, this model has a heating capacity of 53,000 BTUH with 3.5 COP and a cooling capacity of 49,000 BTUH with 17.5 EER. The HSW060 ground loop heat pump has a heating capacity of 40,900 BTUH with 2.9 COP and a cooling capacity of 46,100 BTUH with 14.6 EER.
