Innovative Energy has completed numerous renewable power projects. One such project is the installation of an off-grid solar electric power system at Broken Heart Ranch. This solar electric power system has the capability to generate a maximum power output of two kilowatts.
The Broken Heart Ranch solar electric power system produces 12.5 kilowatts on a daily basis on full exposure to the sun for an average period of five hours. The electricity generated from this solar electric power system is sufficient to meet the energy requirements of a 4000 square-foot house with modern amenities.
The solar electric power system at Broken Heart Ranch, installed by Innovative Energy, was specifically designed for off-grid applications. It has a Power Shed design that maintains all the electric components in a single location and not in the house. This design of the solar electric power system is also suitable for use as a mounting structure to mount PV arrays with proper orientation.
This project, completed by Innovative Energy, started off with the design of the Power Shed. The solar electric system has also been connected to a local utility that is devoid of a metering program. The solar electric system designed at Broken Heart Ranch incorporates an automatic transfer switch that is capable of powering the house through utility, in case the PV system stops functioning.
