The Dialogue’s Wilson Center Spotlight program discusses global issues related to history, culture and other worldly affairs. The participants in this program include special guests, featuring scholars, and other faculty members. John Broder, reporter of New York Times expressed his positive attitude about the conference to be held at Copenhagen by stating that this attempt to prevent climate change will lead to a positive growth and will be marked as a significant historical moment in the history of Denmark, which is similar to the Kyoto Protocol that was implemented after a four-year wait.
Geoff Dabelko, Director of Wilson Center's Environmental Change and Security Program, remarked that various fundamental issues leading to the instability of many countries will be increased as a result of climate changes. Michael MacCracken, Chief Scientist at the Climate Institute dealing with climate change programs remarked that climate changes will bring about an increasing warming effect among the greenhouse gases in the 21st century.
Dialogue’s Wilson Center Spotlight program was telecast by the MHz worldwide channel from 18 to 20 November.
