DuPont Sponsor Climate Change Exhibition

DuPont is sponsoring the Climate Change exhibition on its worldwide tour, currently at the Papalote Children’s Museum in Mexico City, Mexico. The exhibit progresses through nine rooms using interactive displays to show visitors what is happening to the climate globally and what actions society should take to decrease negative effects.

In his remarks at the formal opening, Mexico President Felipe Calderon Hinojosa spoke of the importance of taking action to protect the environment. He also mentioned some of the measures his government is taking to decrease greenhouse effects and carbon dioxide emissions. In addition, Mexico is working on conservation and smart use of alternative energy sources -- solar, wind and others.

“Our scientists are researching energy opportunities that not only translate to new products and sustainable technologies, but also offer added value to our customers,” said Guillermo Kareh, DuPont’s director of Public Affairs for Latin America and director of Legal in Mexico and Central America.

Guillermo related the topics covered in the exhibit to the strategic vision and sustainability of DuPont, highlighting that the efficient use of natural resources and research on alternative energy sources are part of our global sustainability strategy.
