Mammoth-WEBCO manufactures water source heat pumps such as vertical, horizontal, make-up air and water-to-water heat pumps. The horizontal water source heat pump is suitable for installing on top of a suspended ceiling for residential areas, classrooms and offices. It can be connected to building control systems, circulating water lines, and electric service cables. This heat pump is equipped with a reversing valve used for a cooling-only or heating and cooling design.
The horizontal water source heat pump is a medium efficiency heat pump available in different sizes ranging from ½ to 5 tons. It has a cooling capacity of 13.5 EER and a heating capacity of 4.6 COP. The cabinet of this water source heat pump is made of G-60 galvanized steel and its internal metal parts are made of galvanized steel. It is insulated with skin-coated fiberglass, which has a thickness of ½-inch and a density of 1½ pounds. There are three access panels for the fan, control box and compressor sections for easy maintenance and service. The throwaway filter, which has a thickness of 1-inch, is offered in a factory-mounted filter bracket to house a return air duct connection.
The refrigeration system meant for circuit consists of a coaxial water-to-refrigerant heat exchanger, piston orifice device, hermetic compressor, safety controls, reversing valve, access valves, and an airside coil. The compressor included in the horizontal water source heat pump is mounted on dual isolation systems to minimize the noise transmission and to provide silent operation. HP-4 microprocessor-based control system, rotary, reciprocating and scroll compressors, and optional DDC controls are other features available on this heat pump.
