The thermal design and the power circuit of the T80 TurboCharger solar charge controller helps in reducing the heat generation. The charge controller also features a variable speed fan that is controlled by the internal temperature. The T80 TurboCharger solar charge controller includes an inbuilt energy monitor that tracks the generated power and consumed power to calculate the available battery charge. It can be used with a maximum of 72 volt solar modules.

The solar charge controller, provided by ECI Wind and Solar, also features an inbuilt backlit LCD display that shows four lines with 20 characters. The LCD displays charge mode, output current, input current, output voltage, input voltage and battery status. The T80 TurboCharger solar charge controller is suitable for maximum PV input current of 70 amperes. The maximum photovoltaic array power for the charge controller is 5,200 watts. The dimensions of the solar charge controller are 38.7 x 21.6 x 11.1cm, while the weight is 16 pounds.
