Advanced Energy Industries announced that a new production facility has been opened in Fort Collins, Colorado. This production facility which measures 48,000 square-feet has been designed with a modern outlook in order to meet the new trends developing in the solar industry.
This production facility is available with design and development capabilities in order to match the growing improvements in the solar inverter technology along with the capacity to increase the production of its products to meet the growing demand.
Solaron PV grid-tie inverter products for a total capacity of 250 megawatts are intended to be produced in this new production facility on an annual basis. The production can be scaled up for a capacity of more than one gigawatt.
Hans Betz, CEO and President of Advanced Energy Industries, remarked that the company has established a successful product line for Solaron inverters through its investments in solar technology and effective operational features. The dedicated service provided by the company, its efficient leadership support and reductions in the cost of energy has enabled the company to achieve customer satisfaction. Betz stated that the company’s involvement in improving the renewable energy business has been enhanced by the investment in expanding the company’s manufacturing facility.
Doug Hutchinson, Mayor of Fort Collins, remarked that the attempts made by Advanced Energy Industries to branch out into the renewables industry are indeed a sign of progress and these attempts according to Hutchinson will improve the economy in Colorado resulting in a new energy economy.
