SunPower and SolarPower Dedicate 50-Kilowatt Rooftop Solar Power System at HP’s Indigo Division Facility in Israel

SunPower and SolarPower have dedicated a 50-kilowatt rooftop solar power system at HP’s Indigo division facility in Kiryat-Gat, Israel. SunPower is a manufacturer of solar systems, solar cells and solar panels in the US. SolarPower is an Israeli project developer and solar power system integrator. This 50-kilowatt rooftop solar power system was designed and built by SolarPower by using high-efficiency solar panels from SunPower. The construction of this system started in October 2009.

Alon Tamari, Co-CEO of SolarPower, remarked that the amount of clean power generated on the roof will be maximized by the design and construction expertise from SolarPower combined with the high-efficiency solar panels from SunPower. Tamari remarked that the company is proud to have completed the installation of the first solar power in Israel’s high-technology industry.

Howard Wenger, President of the global business units for SunPower, remarked that the company considers it an advantage to have entered into the market during the existence of SolarPower’s leadership in Israel. The proven performance of SunPower’s technology has enabled its customers to achieve a higher return on investment for all applications.

More than 550 solar power systems have been completed by SunPower globally, which also includes the 24-megawatt Montalto solar power plant that was recently completed in Italy.
