K10 Geothermal PTS Subsurface High Temperature Tools Supplied by Kuster

Kuster designs and manufactures a range of measurement tools to survey and record data for oil, gas and geothermal products. The K10 Geothermal PTS subsurface high temperature tool is designed to record pressure, temperature and spinner data of a high temperature geothermal well. It is offered in two configurations, namely memory readout and surface readout.

K10 Geothermal PTS Subsurface High Temperature Tool

The K10 Geothermal PTS subsurface high temperature tool can operate downhole for up to 6 hours at 300 degrees Celsius and 4 hours at 350 degrees Celsius. The electronic and battery section of this measuring instrument are enclosed in a pressure housing to protect them thermally from high geothermal temperatures. With the help of a capillary tube, the pressure transducer recognizes wellbore pressure. The RTD sensor exposed to the wellbore provides a precise recording of the temperature. There are interchangeable impellers and flowmeters enabling users to select the suitable flow conditions.

The K10 Geothermal PTS subsurface high temperature tool incorporates an electronic memory recording system for redundant memory and this system records the data into four flash memory components to maximize the reliability of data. This measurement tool from Kuster has a battery management system inside the software. The data related to depth can be recorded with an optional encoder. This tool has a length of 66 inches and an outside diameter of 1.75 inches. The flowmeter/spinner has an outside diameter of 2-1/8 inches and 1-11/16 inches and has a minimum flow rate of 300RPM and a maximum flow rate of 20,000RPM.
