Crownbutte Wind Power Completes Review of Geotechnical Reports for Gascoyne I 19.5 MW Wind Project

Crownbutte Wind Power, a developer of merchant wind power parks in North Dakota, has completed its review of geotechnical reports from Braun Intertec Corporation of Fargo, ND. These reports are based on a geotechnical survey that was completed in April 2009 at the Crownbutte’s Gascoyne I 19.5 megawatt wind project site in Bowman County, ND.

Crownbutte Wind Power has an existing pipeline of more than 618 megawatts of projects across various development stages in Montana, South Dakota and North Dakota. These projects have been strategically sized to suit the existing power grid, which will necessitate only minimal upgrades of the transmission system. Crownbutte Wind Power expects to commence the construction and operation processes much earlier than the time taken for larger projects that require a new transmission.

Patrick & Henderson will carry out the process of designing turbine foundations for the Gascoyne I project based on the report and the preliminary foundation designs have already been received by Crownbutte Wind Power.
