SunRun Announces Low-Cost Solar Power for Homes in New Jersey

With its expansion in New Jersey, SunRun is all set to offer the state residents a truly affordable solar power for their homes. Homeowners in the state will get solar panels for as low as $500 from SunRun and then pay every month a low fixed rate for the solar electricity, enabling them to receive clean energy as well as to save money.

For a three-or four-bedroom home in New Jersey, the monthly solar payment starts at $50 per month. The company also offers all its customers with money-back performance guarantee including services such as maintenance, repairs, monitoring and insurance, making it hassle-free for the customers to enjoy clean electricity.

SunRun is providing solar power to thousands of homeowners in other states such as Colorado, Massachusetts California, and Arizona. In December 2009, a subsidiary of U.S. Bancorp has committed to provide tax equity to SunRun. This tax equity will help the company to invest $90 million for residential solar installations in 2010.

Lynn Jurich, SunRun president and cofounder, said that the company is helping the New Jersey homeowners to save money by offering to install solar for as low as $500. He commented that though the residents wanted to go for clean solar power, they were waiting for affordable, simple and trustworthy solar solutions, which the company is offering it to them along with its partners.

SunRun’s innovative business approach is to collaborate with the leading solar companies in the region to design and install solar systems for its customers. The company will be collaborating with Trinity Solar and Mercury Solar Systems in New Jersey. These two companies are the most trusted and largest solar installers in the East Coast. SunRun is anticipating that 300 new jobs will be created with its expansion into the state. By 2012, the company is expecting to create more than 1,200 new jobs, majority of them by its partners.
