Clear Skies Solar Announces 185-kW Rooftop Solar Energy Project in New Jersey

Clear Skies Solar has signed a contract for a rooftop solar project with a capacity of 185 kW in New Jersey. The company is a renewable energy provider to agricultural, industrial and commercial customers. This project is the first to receive funding among other contracts signed by the company on both the West and East coast. The New Jersey project is anticipated to begin by February end.

The local permits required for the project have been filed and it is scheduled to be completed in 2010 first quarter. The solar power system comprises two Satcom inverters and 682 Suntech 270 watt solar panels. G&S Investors of New York owns and operates the building where the solar system is to be installed.

Gregg Wasser, CEO of G&S Investors, said that after negotiations with several solar companies, the company selected Clear Skies Solar since it suited the needs of G&S Investors best. Gregg Wasser added that Clear Skies has significant expertise that will help the company to carry out this project as well other projects in the future.

Ezra Green, CEO of Clear Skies Solar, said that for both G&S Investors and Clear Skies, this is a significant project and was happy with the confidence reposed on the company. Ezra Green added that the substantial construction experience of G&S Investors when combined with its expertise will be a strong combination to develop mid-size and large scale solar projects.
