Solyndra and Allied Building Products Sign PV System Distribution Agreement

Solyndra and Allied Building Products have signed a new distribution agreement. Solyndra is a manufacturer of cylindrical photovoltaic systems that are used for rooftop applications in the commercial sector. Allied Building Products has its headquarters in East Rutherford, New Jersey and is a leading distributor of solar, roofing and other building products in the U.S.

Solyndra CEO and founder, Chris Gronet, said that the company is delighted to have Allied Building Products as its first distributor in North America. Gronet further said that the Allied Building has wide reach and broad customer support in the roofing channel.

Bob Feury, CEO of Allied Building Products, said the company was pleased at being the first distributor in North America for Solyndra’s products. Feury added that all owners of commercial buildings who are assessing reproofing applications or new low-slope roof installations should consider innovative solar panel technology from Solyndra.
