WePower manufactures different models of vertical-axis wind turbines. These wind turbines are designed for rural, urban, institutional, commercial, residential and industrial applications. The Falcon series vertical-axis wind turbine are available in five different models, namely Falcon 600W, Falcon 1.2kW, Falcon 3.4kW, Falcon 5.5kW and Falcon 12kW.
The Falcon 12kW vertical-axis wind turbine is designed to minimize carbon footprint and fossil fuel emissions. With the use of a generator, this wind turbine can generate maximum power with low wind speeds. The wind generator can be combined with grid connection and can generate power from 21,000kWh up to 42,000kWh annually. It generates 12kW power at a wind speed of 29mph on a regular basis. The maximum wind speed and cut-in wind speed of this turbine are 111mph and 6mph, respectively.
The rotor diameter of the Falcon 12kW vertical-axis wind turbine is 19 feet 8 inches and the blade length is 20 feet 4 inches. The output voltage of this off grid turbine is 49V DC and that of the grid connected turbine is 250 to 500V AC. This wind generator incorporates a permanent magnet direct drive for efficient operation. Its rated temperature is -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 239 degrees Fahrenheit. The automatic aerodynamic variable pitch and automatic electromagnetic brake are used for electronic overspeed protection. The wind turbine weighs 4,190 pounds and the height of the tower required for mounting Falcon 12kW turbine is 18 feet.
