Aurora Power & Design offers renewable energy products including the wind and solar charge monitoring kit. This monitoring device is used to monitor currents, voltages and accumulated ampere hours of the solar and wind battery charging systems. The monitoring kit comprises a shunt module, a display module and Cat 5 cable.
The display module of the wind and solar charge monitoring kit displays battery functions such as solar charge current, percent battery charge remaining, accumulated wind ampere hours, battery voltage, accumulated solar ampere hours and wind charge current. The display module features a switch size light. The LCD of the display module shows three digits and has back light. The display module functions on 12-volt to 72-volt DC battery systems. The display module of the wind and solar charge monitoring kit can be cutout mounted, electrical box mounted, or surface mounted. This display module can display up to 100-volt DC.
The shunt module of the wind and solar charge monitoring kit consists of two 40-ampere shunts. These shunts are used to measure wind charge currents and photovoltaic charge currents. The shunt module gives 12-volt DC to PVWDM display, obtained from 12-volt to 72-volt DC battery of the solar or wind system. The shunt module can be connected to the PVWDM display through the RJ-45 jack network cable. The wind and solar charge monitoring kit, provided by Aurora Power & Design, can operate at a maximum temperature of 50 degrees Celsius.
