Hampton manufactures two models of wood inserts, namely, HI200 and HI300. The HI300 medium wood, made of cast iron, gets rid of the drafts from open fireplaces. It is designed to reduce the heating bills. This cast wood insert can be installed easily into an existing fireplace. It is EPA certified.
The HI300 medium wood insert is equipped with a single rod draft control and utilize the non-catalytic technology for efficient burning. The airwash system helps the pre-heated air to flow across the fire door evenly and to keep the glass clean for a clearer view of the fire. This fireplace insert available from Hampton incorporates a ceramic safety glass and a brick-lined firebox. This firebox is available in a diameter of 2.3cu.ft. The logs used for burning must have a size of 18 inches and they can burn up to 8 hours. The flue outlet has a diameter of 6 inches.
The HI300 medium wood insert has a maximum heat output of 75,000 BTU and has a heat efficiency of 77%. The width, height and depth of this wood insert measures 25 inches, 21-1/2 inches and 17-1/2 inches, respectively. This fireplace insert from Hampton also includes surrounds in two different sizes, stainless steel liner kit and a 2-speed blower as options. It is available in timberline brown or metallic black color.
