Ice Kube Systems Offers IKS Water-to-Water Geothermal Heat Pumps

Ice Kube Systems manufactures a range of geothermal heat pump equipment including water-to-water heat pumps, heat pump fan coils, and geothermal dehumidification. Water-to-water heat pumps are designed for low temperature applications, such as curling and hockey arenas. It an also be used in schools, office buildings, and industrial heating and cooling applications. The company offers two models of heat pumps that use ozone-safe R410A refrigerant.

IKS Water-to-Water Heat Pump

The IKS water-to-water heat pump suits low temperature applications, and provides refrigeration to curling ice and artificial hockey surfaces.  The IKS heat pump offers hot water for radiant floor heating, and it can also operate efficiently at a temperature of 10 degrees Fahrenheit. The IKS model is available in different sizes ranging from 6.5 to 37.5 tons.

The IKS water-to-water heat pump can be utilized for thermal ice storage applications. The IKS pump, with its low temperatures, can be used to charge the thermal ice storage tank. The thermal ice storage tank has load shifting and peak load shaving benefits. The IKS heat pump has the capacity to produce ice at off-peak hours in ice storage tanks, and at the same time, heat buildings with the energy produced from the ice. This low temperature water-to-water heat pump is suitable for commercial and industrial heating and cooling applications such as pools, ice rinks, in-floor heating, ice storage, and outdoor snow melting.
