PV Squared supplies Eoltec Scirocco E5.6-6 wind turbine with a rated output 6kW at 11.5 meter per second. It uses an industrial blade furling technology for efficient performance. The rotor of this wind turbine has a diameter of 18.4ft. This wind generator incorporates a direct drive PM generator and a pitch control over speed system, which controls the speed of the system.
The Scirocco E5.6-6 wind turbine is capable of generating maximum energy in low as well as medium wind speed conditions. Through this variable speed concept, maximum power point tracking controls are applied to maximize the production up to 50%. The centrifugal pitch overspeed and variable speed controls minimize material stress to provide smooth operation. Through an AC/DC/AC inverter, this wind turbine can be fixed to the AC grid to supply power with the micro-controlled PWM technology.
The Scirocco E5.6-6 wind turbine generate more power using two blades rotor, direct drive PM generator and maximum power point tracking control. This wind generator from PV Squared has a maximum rotation speed of 245RPM and includes a tip speed of 156.5mph. It generates output power up to 6kW from a wind speed of 25.7mph. The cut-in wind speed is 6mph and the system can withstand a wind speed of 134mph. The diameter and swept area of the rotor are 18.4ft and 265ft2, respectively. There are two blades made of fiberglass with AU4G aluminum root insert. The Scirocco E5.6-6 model is equipped with direct drive permanent magnets. The generator is fully sealed and has passive air flow for cooling.
