Innovative Solar Plan from TXU Energy and Evolution Solar to Increase New Solar Installations in Residential Sector

An innovative and aggressive new plan proposed by TXU Energy to significantly increase solar installations in the residential sector has been supported by the management of Evolution Solar, the largest solar power panel designer in the country. TXU Energy is partnering with Evolution Solar to lease the solar systems to homeowners to make solar power accessible and affordable.

As per the TXU Energy’s plan, all the incentives for solar power such as rebates, local and federal solar tax credits will be utilized by SolarCity in order to maintain the lease rates as low as possible to encourage residents of North Texas to sign up. The program will be marketed by TXU Energy and will buy back excess solar power from the customers who do not require all the generated power.

Leasing solar systems will cost approximately $35 per month for a typical three or four bedroom house. These systems are capable of generating 4 kW of electricity, which is enough to meet 45% of the average energy needs of the home. President of Evolution Solar, Robert Hines, commented that homeowners in Texas will have one of the best plans as well as it will help them switch to clean energy while reducing their monthly electricity costs. Hines further said that the excellent plan from TXU Energy will be beneficial for all the stakeholders.
