Martin Zeil, Bavarian Minster of Economics, will take up the patronage for eCarTec 2010, 2nd international trade fair for electric mobility and the associated conference which is organized in cooperation with Bayern Innovativ. By agreeing to take up the patronage, the Minster of Economics gives a clear signal for Germany’s unique innovation show on the topic of electric mobility. More than 400 international companies and 20,000 visitors are expected to visit this year’s eCarTec 2010. This trade fair will therefore host twice as many exhibitors and guests as compared with 2009. Today, eight months prior to the opening, the number of applicants has already been exceeded.
According to the Bavarian Minister of Economics, Mr. Zeil, sustainable and pioneering new developments in the field of electric mobility that benefit the entire economy will soon take a leading role. In his role as a patron, Zeil addresses corporations, trade associations, pressure groups, regional initiatives and associations alike: "Electric mobility bears a great potential for the development of the technological and industrial location of Bavaria. Yet, considerable efforts and progress is required to ensure that this technology has reached a state of suitability for everyday use on our streets. All participants therefore have to act in concert to ensure a breakthrough of electric mobility and pave the way for lasting production maturity. eCarTec 2010 provides an optimum platform for people who would like to keep up with current developments and exchange new ideas.
At eCarTec, which will take place from October 19 to 21, 2010 at the New Munich Trade Fair, leading manufacturers will provide an overview of the current situation of electric mobility. The trade show will feature electric vehicles, storage technology, drive and engine technologies, energy, infrastructure and financing. An additional training area where experts and end consumers can test the latest electric vehicles and familiarize themselves with this technology is also incorporated. This trade fair focuses on developers, construction engineers, designers, managers, traders, car fleet managers, private car buyers and decision makers from politics and public authorities. At its successful grand opening in 2009 eCarTec welcomed 195 companies and over 10,000 visitors. MATERIALICA - 13th international specialist trade fair for material applications, surfaces and product engineering will take place alongside eCarTec. The large number of representatives from the automotive industry will promote a synergy effect between both trade fairs. MATERIALICA considers itself a link between the engineering and supply industry.
