BOMA Silicon Valley Partners with EIA to Offer LEED Preparation Courses to Building Professionals

Building Owners and Managers Association Silicon Valley (BOMA SV) is partnering with Environmental Institute of America (EIA) to offer BOMA members new courses on sustainable real estate management. The educational courses will help the professionals in the building sector to enhance cost savings as well as performance of green buildings.

BOMA members who attend EIA’s Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) preparation courses will be offered special pricing by the partnership. BOMA members can also attend an EIA’s sustainability financing workshop that teaches how to utilize local, state and federal incentives to get the best returns on sustainability investments.

CEO of the Environmental Institute of America, Alex Thatcher, said BOMA has always led in providing real estate management education to professionals in the building sector. This partnership is an example for BOMA locals across the nation to help their members acquire sustainability skills to cut down costs related to owning and managing buildings, Thatcher said.

BOMA SV EVP Robert Jacobvitz, said the association’s first choice to partner with was EIA to offer LEED education. BOMA is happy to provide its members with educational packages and instructors from EIA, Jacobvitz added.
