Nanyang Technological University and Det Norske Veritas Sign Memorandum of Understanding for Clean Energy Research

A memorandum of understanding was signed by Chief Executive Officer of Det Norske Veritas, Dr Hendrik Madsen, and Provost Professor Bertil Andersson of Nanyang Technological University on March 18, 2010 for a collaborative research and development in environmental and clean energy technologies.

The scope of the joint collaboration includes research and development projects, membership in advisory boards, and industrial collaboration. Det Norske Veritas (DNV) and the Energy Research Institute @ Nanyang Technological University (ERI@N) will together work for developing practices and standards for the clean energy sector. They will also explore the setting up of lab facilities jointly.

DNV is leading provider of risk management and sustainability services and established in Singapore for the past 40 years while ERI@N is dedicated to advance the research to improve energy systems and to maximize the cooperative effects of alternative energy sources.
