City of Pendleton Launches Low-Cost Group Buy Solar Program

In an effort to provide clean, renewable energy to the homeowners and businesses in Pendleton, a low-cost group buy solar program has been launched by the City of Pendleton. This solar program, which is similar to group purchasing model in Portland, Oregon, will enable homeowners to realize the multiple benefits and savings of solar photovoltaic systems.

The solar program, Solarize Pendleton, uses tax credits, federal and state incentives to reduce the cost of residential solar system by as much as 80%, enabling the homeowners to have a clean source of renewable energy. By using solar photovoltaic systems, homeowners can reduce their energy bills by one-third, according to solar experts. To explain about the solar program, free workshops will be conducted by Solar Oregon and Energy Trust of Oregon starting from 29th March.

LiveLight Energy of Beaverton is central to the success of this solar program. The company is assisting the homeowners through its free site assessments to find out the exact costs that will occur to them as well as the best solar installation process for their homes.
