ARISE Technologies Corporation, a leading cost-effective, high-quality, high-performance solar technology provider, announced that the company will be providing customized solar systems to 11 Ontario school boards. This contract received by the company is part of the Ontario Green Schools Pilot Initiative.
As per the terms of the contract, each school board will be provided with a 10 kW rooftop solar power system along with specialized software and tools, solar specific curriculum, and real-time learning portal. By August 2010 end, the installation of the solar power systems is expected to be completed. The solar power system from ARISE Technologies that are to be utilized for the project satisfies all the requirements of the Ontario Feed-In Tariff program.
President and CEO of ARISE, Vern Heinrichs, said the company was happy to have been selected to be part of this key green project under the Ontario Green Schools Pilot Initiative by the 11 Ontario school boards. Vern Heinrichs further said the company was delighted to help the schools in providing information to students about solar power.
The objective of the Green Schools Pilot Initiative is to assist the school boards to buy, test, and demonstrate innovative green technologies and products. A quarterly report has to be submitted by school boards on specific performance metrics of the pilot technology to evaluate its operational and environmental impact. Ontario Ministry of Education is funding and leading this green initiative.
