Neptuno USA and Sweden-based Flexenclosure have collaborated through a letter of intent (LOI) to launch the E-site® carrier solution in the Caribbean and Latin America.
Specially designed for generation and conservation of renewable energy for off-grid sites, the E-site® is a turnkey solution, especially advantageous for telecom operators.
This solution sources power from wind and solar radiation and stores it in a battery bank. To secure smooth and uninterrupted operation, additional back-up sources are also employed. E-site® is designed to provide low life-cycle cost and trouble-free operation.
Based on the terms of the collaboration, Neptuno will establish the towers for E-site®. In addition, it will install, maintain and commission the sites, conforming to the highest industry standards. Common customers will be served by Neptuno’s office in Florida.
Progressive telecom carriers will now be able to offer flawless and seamless wireless services in remote areas with E-site®, thus delivering benefits to their subscriber bases. The joint solution will also reduce roughly 90% of the total diesel consumption essential for remote cellular sites. E-site® is expected to bring significant reduction in the operational costs of the companies’ customers.
According to the CEO of Flexenclosure, Stefan Jern, Neptuno was selected for its longstanding experience and stellar client list. The collaboration will provide optimal solutions for new as well as existing customers.
Flexenclosure E-site® won the Mobile Innovation Global Award of the Year in 2008, instituted by the GSMA. Fuelled by the legislative mandates for green technology adoption, the demand for E-site® has grown rapidly. The competitive environment coupled with the solution’s efficacy has established a growing market for E-site®.
