Exhibition Space in Intersolar North America 2010 Almost Sold Out

The leading exhibition for professionals in the solar market, Intersolar North America, announced that over 80% of space for exhibitors has been sold out. The event is set to take place from July 13th to 15th in San Francisco, California. Intersolar North America 2010 co-located with SEMICON West, is anticipating the participation of approximately 700 solar exhibitors from all over the world.

For the third year running, there is an overwhelming response from companies throughout the world for this exhibition and Intersolar attributes this interest to the exponential growth of the solar industry in North America over the past few years and its anticipated expansion during the year 2010. According to GTM’s research report, the installed capacity of about 400 MW in U.S. in 2009 is likely to see a substantial growth in new installations to reach 1.5 GW to 2 GW in 2012. The projected demand will help to create 50,000 green jobs with a potential investment of more than $6.1 billion.

CEO of Solar Promotion International GmbH, Markus Elsasser, said the solar industry has spread throughout the world and Intersolar North America mirrors the present developments and international solar industry’s high demand. Over 20,000 international visitors and 1,600 conference participants are expected to interact with important global industry players who will present their innovative products.

According to the GTM's market report, photovoltaic demand in the United States will have a much faster growth rate during the next four years when compared to other bigger solar markets. During this period, the United States has the potential to become the world’s second largest photovoltaic market next to Germany.
