Vanguard Assists Pegasus Products to Produce More Electricity

A rooftop solar system constructed by Vanguard Energy Partners for Pegasus Products has assisted the latter obtain "net-zero electric" status. Vanguard Energy is a large-scale solar electric systems design and installation provider. Currently, the solar system has helped Pegasus generate surplus electricity.

Vanguard had installed the grid-tied solar photovoltaic (PV) system with 101 kW of capacity on top of a manufacturing facility of Pegasus. The solar system consisting 442 panels is likely to generate the total energy resources required for operating the building. Moreover, Vanguard assisted Pegasus receive $150,000 in federal grants as part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act.

The solar system of Pegasus reduces its environmental footprint by decreasing the annual carbon emissions by around 175,900 pounds, which translates into annual gasoline savings of 8,975 gallons. Pegasus is using the SunFlow Monitor of Noveda Technologies for tracking the power consumption, system efficiency and solar production of the facility.  

Vanguard assists in monetizing the solar projects of its customers. With the assistance of the country’s state, local and federal incentives that are being provided for funding clean energy projects, Vanguard can leverage its expertise and knowledge to assist clients secure funding.

Recently, Vanguard assisted fresh convenience foods company Quick Chek receive more than $200,000 in federal grants for financing the solar PV system to be installed at the latter’s facility in Whitehouse Station, NJ. With more than 120 stores, Quick Chek has 2,600 employees in New York and New Jersey. The Chief Financial Officer of Quick Chek commented that the installation of the solar system has helped the company protect the environment and conserve energy.
