The 2nd China Solar Industry Leadership Summit will be held in Lanzhou, China, during of June 24–25, 2010 with support from the CBI EVENTS, China5e.com, China’s Energy Research Institute of National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) and the Government of Gansu Provincial People.
The conference will witness the gathering together of China’s PV project operators, local governments, power enterprises, feedstock suppliers, system integration providers, global PV cell manufacturers, equipment providers, and technology providers. The conference will also highlight China’s need to focus on grid-connected PV power-producing projects.
In 2009, China exported photovoltaic products for an amount of $15.44 billion, an increase of 147.75% from the previous year. The Chamber of Commerce for Import & Export of Machinery & Electronics Products (CCCME) of China forecasts that in 2010 the global demand for solar energy will rise by 25%.
Especially, Chinese policy banks encourage companies including Yingli, Trina Solar (TSL) and Suntech to increase the construction of PV power stations abroad. Chinese banks provide financial assistance to PV enterprises to help them overcome the limitations caused by the economic crisis.
