PV Measurements offers Portable I-V Testers for PV Modules. This portable tester is used in determining the current-voltage characteristics of the used PV modules and rays provided by natural sunlight. The portable I-V tester converts current and voltage data in a digitized format by utilizing a 12 or 16 bit analog-to-digital converter and provide the details for study and display. The in-built user-friendly software meant for the purpose understands the data and produces test information and data files.
The portable I-V testers for PV modules provided by PV Measurements runs on a battery. The module is designed to save the generated data in text format for easy follow-up by utilizing other programs. The module is available in a current range of 10 A and a voltage range of 50 V. This module uses a notebook computer for analysis work.
The optional features with the portable I-V testers for PV modules includes the availability of a reference cell, ability to measure the reference cell current and temperature and capability to measure the module temperature. Optionally this module is available with custom-made voltage range up to 200 V and current range up to 20 A and unattended operation.
