Solar group discount company One Block Off The Grid (1BOG) has introduced the New Orleans solar group purchase initiative to make it affordable and convenient for New Orleans homeowners to switch to solar energy. Homeowners opting for solar energy can receive a discount of $6.65 for every watt by means of South Coast Solar, a local installer. In addition, homeowners also receive free support, education and online tools. South Coast Solar is known for its warranties, products, pricing and successful installations.
Dave Llorens, the CEO of 1BOG, commented that in addition to the already existing state and federal incentives that cover 80% of the solar electric system cost, the new discount initiative offered by the company provides added benefit for homeowners in New Orleans.
On May 20, 2010, South Coast Solar and 1BOG together with local developer and architect Wisznia | Architecture + Development, will present an educational networking event explaining the solar energy process and providing information about presently available incentives and rebates for homeowners. This new initiative from 1BOG will be available to New Orleans homeowners till July 20, 2010.
