New Wind Turbine to be Installed Near The Prime Street Grille

Potomac Wind Energy will install a ReDriven wind turbine having 20 kW capacity behind restaurant The Prime Street Grille at White Plains, Maryland, on the 27th of May 2010. The draft horse of a local farmer ‘King’ will be utilized for hoisting the turbine into its location. This will be the second turbine installed in Charles County.

The state of Maryland has provided support for this project. Maryland’s Director of Clean Energy Ross Tyler commented that the Maryland Energy Administration is optimistic about the wind turbine installation and is hoping that this will motivate other states to follow the same.

Nick White, Co-owner of The Prime Street Grille, commented that the new wind turbine installation will pave the way for other such installations. Thomas "Mac" Middleton, the Maryland State Senator, stated that the new wind turbine while producing renewable energy will also help reduce environmental pollution.
