USGBC Approves Sustainability Courses of Irvine Extension

The U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) has given the status of USGBC Education Provider to the Irvine Extension of the University of California. The USGBC has approved the instructional and technical quality of 10 UC Irvine Extension Sustainability courses. The USGBC has approved the courses for GBCI CE Hours geared towards the LEED Credential Maintenance Program.

In order to receive the designation of USGBC Education Provider, the Irvine Extension provided the USGBC with in-depth information about its various sustainability certificate programs, coursework as well as its instructional guidelines.

The 10 sustainability courses that were approved include Introduction to Corporate Social Responsibility, Sustainability & Green Business; Framework for Strategic Vision; Legal Developments Concerning the Environment & Climate Change; Climate Protection & Environmental Sustainability: The Business of Mitigating Change; Sustainability Reporting: Drivers, Protocols & Quantitative Methods; Green Supply Chain; Sustainability Reporting: Drivers, Protocols & Quantitative Methods; The Future of Energy: Cleantech; Sustainable Practices in Senior Housing: The Boom of Our Aging; and Transforming the Built Environment: EBOM Principles.
