Reduction in Empty Running of Vehicles Will Help Prevent 426,000 Tonnes of Carbon Emissions

The Centre for Sustainable Road Freight, a joint collaboration between Heriot-Watt and Cambridge Universities, claims the industry could save £160 million in fuel and prevent 426,000 tonnes of carbon emissions from being released, equivalent to the amount generated by approximately 70,000 cars a year, if they reduce empty running of vehicles.

Coobus and Consorcio Enter MOU with BYD for Electric Buses

Pilot Test Completed on New York Transit's BYD Battery-Electric Bus

BYD and the New York Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) have concluded a pilot test on a BYD 40-foot, zero-emissions, battery-electric bus. The test period was from Aug 25th to Oct 25th totaling two months in service and the final report data has been summarized for distribution.
