SonnenEnergy Breaks New Ground on 10-acre Solar Power Park

SonnenEnergy Corp., an established photovoltaic solar power systems integrator and solar power producer, today announced that it has broken ground on the first phase of a 10-acre solar power park in Hausen, Germany ("Solar Park Hausen"). Solar Park Hausen is the second solar park owned by SonnenEnergy, which also maintains three parks that it built previously for commercial customers.

Converting Waste Heat into Electricity

A considerable reduction in carbon dioxide in the world's industrial and emerging economies is vital if global warming is to be counteracted. The problem can be solved by energy savings on the one hand and energy efficiency on the other. The German corporation Aqua Society has now developed a process which sustainably generates CO2-free electricity from waste heat at temperatures from 80 degrees Celsius, making a decisive contribution to achieving climate targets.

Energy Saved Using Solar Installation Allows More Food to Feed the Hungry

BP America and the Capital Area Food Bank (CAFB) today announced a $1 million donation of BP Solar panels and other equipment that will make CAFB's proposed new facility a local showcase of the latest solar technology. The solar system, which will be capable of generating 121.8 kW of clean electricity, will save more than 20 percent of CAFB's annual electricity bill.
