Prism 1 MW Inverter Provided by SatCon

SatCon offers Satcon Prism 1 MW inverter for medium voltage solution. This fully integrated inverter system is meant for use with a wide array of PV installations.

The Prism 1 MW model is a total system incorporating step-up transformers; power conversion features and MV disconnect switches. Currently this MV solution model is available in single piece and two piece designs. The MPPT know-how deployed in the model offers an accurate tracking control for increased output in PV plants utilizing various types of PV cell technologies.

The Prism MVP 2 model inverter provided by SatCon is a single piece design keeping the inverter and the transformer in the same module. This inverter is constructed rugged, uses modular components for easy quick installations and has dual cooling fans for uninterrupted running of the inverter. The maximum array input voltage of this inverter is 900 VDC, its input voltage ranges from 420 to 850 VDC and its total maximum input current is 2456 A. The output range of this inverter at 265 VAC  is maintained between 233 VAC and 292 VAC, its output frequency range is 59.3–60.5 Hz and its total maximum output current  is 2180 A.. This module is designed to offer a maximum continuous output power of 1000 kW and its power factor at full load is >0.99%.

The Prism MVP 2 model inverter meets the seismic acceptance criteria of IBC, ASCE 7, ICC ES AC156. The safety features incorporated in the module include an integrated DC two-poles disconnect switch and a protective covers for power connections.
