United Solar Ovonic provides Solar Laminate PVL-144. This model incorporates bypass diodes connected across every solar cell for power production during shadow and low light occurrence.
The rated maximum power of this model is 144 W and the power tolerance is ±5%. The standard configuration of this model includes a photovoltaic laminate, a potted terminal housing assembly with adhesive backing, output cables and quick connect terminals.
Solar Laminate PVL-144 Model
The length x width x depth measurements of the Solar Laminate PVL-144 provided by United Solar Ovonic is 5486 mm x 394 mm x 4 mm and weighs 7.7 kg. The depth of this module is measured as 16 mm when the potted terminal housing assembly is included. The output cables utilized in this module measures 4 mm² (12 AWG) with weatherproof DC-rated quick-connect terminals measuring 560 mm in length. This module is encapsulated utilizing a durable ETFE high light-transmissive polymer chemical compound. This model incorporates 22 triple junction amorphous silicon solar cells measuring 356 mm x 239 mm and connected in series.
The Adhesive used in the Solar Laminate PVL-144 module is Ethylene propylene copolymer paste providing proper sealing for the module to prevent the entry of microbes. This model is UL 1703 certified for electrical and fire safety and meant for use in systems up to 600 VDC and IEC 61646 and IEC 61730 certified by TÜV Rheinland for use in systems up to 1000 VDC.
