Alaskan Wind Industries offers the Chinook 200 wind turbine meant for use in low wind speed locations. This wind turbine is suitable for marine and domestic usages. The tip speed ratio (TSR) of this rotor is low and provides quite noiseless operation.
This turbine incorporates only two moving parts for smoother working and the bearings utilized in the turbine are securely sealed for long life. The patented 3-phase axial PMA incorporated in the wind turbine utilizes Neodymium Iron Boron technology.
The Chinook 200 wind turbine provided by Alaskan Wind Industries incorporates a rotor measuring 1 m and weighing 6.5 kg. The tower mount utilized in the model is Sch-40 type and measures 48.3 mm. The rated wind velocity of this wind turbine is 12.5 m/s, rated output is 200 W, maximum output is 250 W and the cut-in speed is 350 rpm. This wind turbine is designed to offer an output voltage of 12V or 24 V DC.
The Chinook 200 wind turbine incorporates novel type of injection molded blades and a control system utilizing microcontroller. This wind turbine is ideal for use along with PV power production. Optional tower kits and mounting options are available for the wind turbine.
