Canadian Solar Donates Solar Panels to a Georgian Family

Solar applications and modules provider Canadian Solar Inc. has joined the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" (EMHE), an Emmy Award-winning program of ABC, in order to donate a Georgian family with its photovoltaic solar panels.

Canadian Solar has given away its affordable CS6P-230W polycrystalline solar modules that have obtained good PV-USA (PTC) ratings. The system will generate around 8.4 MW per year and will decrease dependence on fossil fuels and reduce energy bills. This particular EMHE project will serve as a benefit to the household of Williams in Pine Mountain, Georgia.

The (EMHE) project gathers together communities throughout the U.S. to build and renovate homes for families that have gone through setbacks. This show is committed to utilizing environmentally-friendly technologies, techniques and building materials including solar energy in its renovations.

The panels of Canadian Solar were installed for the Williams family by Atlantic Service & Supply in partnership with Nationwide Homes, the building contractor of EMHE.
