RMT, Inc has been chosen by Noble Environmental Power to engineer and construct the latter’s Granite Reliable Power Windpark in Coos County, New Hampshire.
This 99-MW facility, once completed, is likely to be one of the largest windparks in New Hampshire. Work on construction is likely to start in summer 2010.
RMT will offer engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) for supporting the setting up of 33 numbers of V90 3.0-MW wind turbines of Vestas. The civil structure is likely to include pads and crane walks, turbine foundations and roads. The electrical infrastructure is likely to be designed and constructed by RMT, including a 115-kVoverhead power line stretching 5.8 miles and a 34.5-kV underground and overhead collection system. RMT will also conduct tower construction and erection of a 5,000 SF maintenance and operations building.
The Granite Reliable Power Windpark will provide numerous economic and environmental benefits such as construction jobs, clean renewable energy, improved business for local service providers and vendors as well as considerable tax contributions.
